Cwm Milgatw

Spent yesterday doing festive Christmas things with flatmates before everyone separates to go home!

Heres an image for a friend of Cwm Milgatw, an area close to where i live.

WIP of the room design, lots of stuff left to go in it

Wire chairs

Hallo! Here's some wire chairs, which totally killed the tips of my fingers to make as i bent them by hand :/
I'm not sure how to upholster them, maybe paper mache, or try and sew some covers?
Suggestions welcome

3D set

So i've finished my dissertation draft for uni now, and can get back to work, so i've started on the 3D set, i've not entirely designed everything yet, but just gonna work on both at the same time.
Heres some pictures of it so far! The walls are individual so if i wanted to light something specifically to take photos etc, i can remove a wall

More design

Heres some more design work for the house project, a bunch of fireplaces, i have started to colour these, but i've been scuppered by dissertation writing so i'll get that out of the way then return to this.
Miscllanious items page. Ok not so full so far, but figured i'd show it anyway, gonna draw a bunch of lamps, rugs and general items like vases etc
I designed 2 types of wallpaper, and started piecing together a kind of mockup for what i'd like the room to look like, obviously doesnt contain much yet, but i'll add to it as i design more elements.

In a break from dissertation writing i watched the new episode of Glee, and decided to do a quick sketch of the character Emma Pillsbury the councilor, with giant bushbaby eyes.
Then i did sort of a redesign of her, i also watched Santa Claus the Movie ( the one from 1985) and i love John Lithgow's character, with evil chair spins and maniacal laughing. Awesome. So i drew a sketch of him, not really paying much attention to making it look like him exactly, just getting his evil sneer. I liked the outfit, so then drew a mafia guy.

Grandfather clocks

Some more designs!

Chairs

Gouache, i'm not totally convinced of using paint im not quite used to it, might try some digital, i totally want the black and the blue chairs though

Tiger Prints

So today i spent screen printing my tiger image, i got 12 successful prints done, and they'll be available for sale soon, watch this space!

Sketch of local area back home for a friend
Working on colour more, in progress, will post the finished when i'm done.
A local cafe in Bristol (Thali Cafe) are sponsoring our end of year gallery show by providing us with food which i hear is really good!) in exchange for some christmas card designs for them, they liked my tiger image as its an indian cafe, so jazzed it up christmas style with some string lights!
Showgirl sketch, wasnt really concentrating on anatomy at the time, if i go back to it theres a bunch of stuff to be fixed.
Miscellanious girl drawing
As a result of talking to my friend James, i'm often prompted to draw super quick cartoons pertaining to the conversation, heres a portrait of James, in a true to life depiction.
And heres him marrying his best buddy, they have a wonderful Bromance.

Oh also, i've decided on a project to start, i'm gonna design a house or at least a few rooms, i'd like to actually make one in 3d with paper and card nets and perhaps little sewn chairs etc, and then also design some characters to go with it. I'm thinking having an actual little set might help me with perspective, and understanding camera angles etc for a greater variety of angles in an interior enviro etc.
Heres some sketches of ideas for furniture etc for the living room.

...and finally
i don't think i've ever posted this so figured i would!
One day after a pizza i drew my flatmate >Kate< on the foam tray and put some wool hair on, its a little hard to see the lines in the picture as i just used what was to hand in the kitchen which was a blue and red colouring pencil. Today she made a version of me!
